As expected, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court delivered the final blow to the Democrat officials in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, and other counties that tried to count illegal votes in hope to makeup the difference. The crazy rhetoric used to justify the clear attempt to interfere with the outcome of the election just gives credence to those who doubted past outcomes.
Just because people violate the law all the time, does not make it okay for a government official to do the same, as one immoral commissioner tried to justify her illegal actions. In fact, the expectation is that someone working for the government, on the public’s dime, and in the public’s trust should be more observant of the law. But we see crystal clear that people do not follow their own espoused values when situations do not align with their own wishes.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro took the side of the Supreme Court, which is not a hard stance. If he really wanted to make a firm statement, he might want to remove those commissioners who blatantly violated the previous court ruling and state laws. Every vote should count, but it must comply with rules. Especially when there is so much obvious reason for the unsavory to cheat.
We should not really be surprised by the actions of these rogue radicals in trying to break the rules to achieve their end goal. The ends justify the means approach has always been a staple of the fringe.
These members of the party that so commonly labels anyone who questions the integrity of anything surrounding elections as election deniers show why there are doubts about the legitimacy of those in the institutions that are supposed to safeguard our democracy.
I agree that these people should be removed because their actions and moreso their rhetoric demonstrating they were purposefully violating the rules for a political purpose of changing an outcome of the election. Under the guise of every vote should count.
Every vote should count. Every legal vote. People know the rules and procedures. They should comply and there would be no issue. And millions do. The problem is we cannot leave room for any manipulation because obviously there are people willing to game the system.
