Welcome to The CRC Team Channel.
The challenge for any person leading an organization is the ultimate responsibility and accountability for everything that goes on within your purview. You are tasked with the strategy and judged on the outcome, regardless of if the issues were a result of a subordinate. I can appreciate the challenge and stress this may cause on a person.
While I can be empathetic to how challenging positions of power are, I cannot excuse when these positional leaders fail to demonstrate the proper organizational leadership and team development that would directly impact the overall success, which they would get credit for.
Too many people allow themselves to get siloed at the top because they fail to meaningfully connect with the people they rely on to execute impactful projects and tasks. That lack of connection can cause staff to disengage or view the workplace as just a paycheck. Of course, the good ones will be looking for the next paycheck that is higher elsewhere.
I believe it is essential for workers to meaningfully contribute to their organization and earn their compensation. But leaders need to meet them half way and connect with staff. Otherwise, you will lose the good ones and retain the ones that do not move your bottom line.
In my podcast episode below, I discuss organizational leadership. Please experience this podcast and click on my image above for more episodes!
