Welcome to The CRC Team Channel.
There are times when people do what they think is right, but their actions actually do more harm than good. Does intent or result matter more?
Have you ever been in a car with a person who completely stops to let what they think is a pedestrian crossing the road and hold traffic up? Only to see the person is neither crossing the road nor had the right of way.
But the person wanted a public showing for the public to think of how kind they are by being mean and rude to a host of others. The disproportionate application of kindness is a complete contradiction to the fact that following the rule as prescribed would be more equitable than their action.
The need to be perceived one way or another may blind people from actually exemplifying those values. That is what is wrong at times with society is the obsession over the optics rather than ensuring the substance is what we need it to be.
