In my experience, the best way to handle any sort of adversity is to deal with the situation with maximum understanding. I believe the more you know about something, the less anxiety you have over the unexpected. Especially if you are able to experience reasonable information, which can be difficult with competing agendas of those supporting and benefiting from the change or those opposing and benefitting from being able to limit or stop the change.
There is a gluttony of information about artificial intelligence telling us that we all will be unemployed and replaced by robots. Or other sources making us feel like we are behind those who may have a more in-depth knowledge of artificial intelligence than we currently may have. There is a natural risk if you are not aware of technological changes that could impact your livelihood. But, if you are still employed, there is obviously still some time for you to mitigate any future risk.
Certain fields may be optimal for replacement by artificial intelligence. For instance, data entry for instance is repetitive tasks that may be better suited for automation. Customer service to some degree, although the technology in this field is not really well suited for complex situations to some degree. There is still a need for human judgment and input.
The more immediate view is that artificial intelligence can be utilized to help people become more efficient and able to eliminate the burden of redundant tasks that get in the way of the specialized work that you may do. For instance, artificial intelligence is great at providing summaries of documents and organizing information so you can analyze it and implement the useful findings.
The real opportunity for most people at this juncture is to understand how you can learn more about using artificial intelligence in a professional manner and try to implement it to help you achieve your professional ambitions and goals. Learn about it and see if it can help you to correct any areas that may be seen as a shortcoming and make it a clear and obvious strength!
