SERIES: OUR GREAT NATION

CRC

Welcome!

There is nothing like road trips throughout the United States. No matter where you go in the United States, there always seems to characteristics that make us the same. Minor regional difference, but major similarities that connect us. But those regional differences can make those communities unique and those experiences in them special.

For those who regard some regions of our great nation as flyover states, I hope they expand their minds and experience the interesting communities that exist. And meet some of their residents. There are good and bad in any area. But, when you experience America you will see there is so much in common to our core.

Sometimes, we believe that methods are the best simply because of the revenue generated, but some things done in high cost areas may have a big price tag with low quality. Learning how other areas do things can give insight and ideas that drive innovation and improve quality.

And so many good eats that are not truly available everywhere. I always try to experience local dining regardless of where I am. I have never regretted it.

CRC SOCIAL:
There is always a great deal of information being pushed towards us on any given day. From the internet, the media, our places of employment, and our network of family and friends. Sometimes the bad information may not come from bad sources. Many times they may not be pushed on us with malicious intent. Simply, the information does not apply to our needs and wants. There is a need to filter information even when no misinformation or disinformation is present.

THE ECONOMY:
There are competing food chains that stem from either side of the State of Pennsylvania. For people near Philly, you know and love Wawa. For those closer to Pittsburgh, they may prefer Sheetz. Recently, I had the opportunity to experience Sheetz for a bit of  time. In the past, it was simply a gas and go, as I already had food and snacks from Wawa. But, I decided to embrace the opportunity to experience Sheetz and try to settle the debate of which is better.

PUBLIC POLICY:
They say we should talk about politics or religion in public. But that is foolish. We should limit our engagements because of the insecurities of some. Rather embrace respectful discussions that may help understand our differencs. We need to be able to accept that other people may not see the world in the same manner as we do. And that it is okay. It should not be the end of the world if someone supports a different candidate than you do. Our differences can actually be more appealing because of what we truly have in common.  Stop obsessing about converting others and just look for intellectual fulfilling discussions when appealing.
