The opening weekend is behind us and many teams now can focus on what they need to improve and what they can build on from the first time their starters took the field. The preseason is now the backup season. So the true identities of teams is really unknown.
Given there was no real conclusive tape teams could study, the games were probably played based on studying tendencies, historical play, and being situational adaptive. We know teams find every advantage, any tidbit of hints of what teams might do. But there are so many new head coaches, new coordinators, and potentially new approaches to really be sure what to expect.
Now, there is a game worth of film, stats, and data. For many teams, it is only going to get better. For others, they will need to learn to adapt to avoid getting exposed. Week 2 starts tomorrow with Buffalo vs Detroit!
