A tough week for teams with young future star quarterbacks. While I can understand the sentiment around Caleb Williams, I think we have to given him a benefit of the doubt a bit. Pain tolerance is one thing and maybe the frustration with potentially missing time and what that may entail.
The debate over preseason play for starters will probably heat up, but this unfortunate situation is also a case for being cautious. So, as long as salaries continue to escalate, teams will protect the assets from injury in a meaningless game.
