Welcome to The CRC Team Channel.
The 2026 baseball season is upon us and it is not going that well for my Phillies so far. After winning on opening day, we saw 3 straight losses before rookie Andrew Painter won his first major league start. We start slow every season, but usually pick up the pace when the weather gets better.
Our division foes in the Mets and Braves have yielded early season advantages in the recent seasons, which hopefully will happen once again this year. But, New York is hoping that it has changed its fortunes. All the while, we have essentially doubled down on ours. Our offseason was what we hoped our Eagles would have been able to do in retaining its own players.
But, the great thing about baseball is that there is always time and the season is such a long and unpredictable journey at times. Teams that were not expected to compete find themselves in the mix in August. Teams that were supposed to dominate find themselves sellers. The current format of the game allows more teams to compete longer into the season, which is great for the fans.
I believe in the long haul my Phillies will be fine once they get into the full swing of the grind of the season. Once the lineup gets some more games under their belt. I am confident that our stars will find their way this season and return to a level of play that will have Citizens Bank Park rocking in October!
The action is just beginning. And baseball seems to have more energy this season. Especially with new partners. Netflix will broadcast a select set of games this season. Hopefully, they will become a bigger platform for a sport that needs greater sustainability in its streaming area.
